PHARMACODYNAMICS

Electrolytes filling solution which provides electrolytes loss and caloric glucose supplement by venous access route :

  • Dextrion G 5: 200 Kcal/l (moderate supplement);
  • Dextrion G 10 : 400 Kcal/L

This solution is used to rebalance liquid losses. In addition, it allows adequate supplements of sodium, potassium, calcium, chloride ions in immediate post-operative period.

PHARMACOKINETICS

IV injection provides an immediate effect. Metabolism is similar to glucose and to different ions.
