PRESENTATIONS

THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS

  • Caloric glucose intake : 1200 kcal/L
  • Prevention against intra and extra cellular dehydration
  • Rehydration when water loss exceeds electrolyte loss
  • Prophylaxis and treatment of ketosis in undernutrition
  • Vehicle for therapeutic supplementation in immediate pre-operative, operative and post-operative periods
  • Emergency treatment of severe hypoglycemia

PHARMACEUTICAL FORM

The glucose is packaged in a polypropylene plastic ampoule manufactured using the BFS (blow-fill-seal) process. Its tip allows for direct connection to a syringe via the Luer-lock system.

PHARMACODYNAMICS

This drug metabolism and pharmacological properties are similar to those seen in glucose.
