PRESENTATIONS

THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS

Caloric glucose intake : 200 kcal/L (G5%) – 400 kcal/L (G10%) ;
Prevention against intra and extra cellular dehydration ;
Rehydration in case water loss is higher than sodium chloride and other osmoles loss ;
Prophylaxis and treatment of ketosis in undernutrition
Vehicle for therapeutic supplementation in immediate pre-operative, operative and post-operative periods.

PHARMACEUTICAL FORM

The Glucose solution (G5% and G10%) is packaged in a plastic polypropylene bag. The PP bag, which is in direct contact with the solution, is manufactured from multilayer film based on co-extruded polypropylenes or polyolefin, with a connector of the same material that presents two ports. The first one includes a PP membrane that is used for the connection of the infusion sets, and is protected by a tab that closes this cavity. The second one is sealed by a polypropylene stopper provided with a latex free rubber disc, through which drug additions are performed. The rubber disc is not in contact with the solution because the stopper has inside a polypropylene membrane that closes the connection cavity.
