PRESENTATIONS

THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS

Sodium Chloride 0,9% :

  • Rebalance of ions with sodium and chloride supplements
  • Extracellular dehydration
  • Vehicle for therapeutic supplementation
  • Hypovolemia
  • Vehicle or diluent of compatible drugs for parenteral administration.

Sodium Chloride 10% :

  • Electrolyte rebalance when small supplemention of water is desired, in slow intravenous infusion
  • Sodium supplementation with reduced volume in solutions for parenteral nutrition

PHARMACEUTICAL FORM

The Sodium chloride solution is packaged in a polypropylene ampoule manufactured according to the BFS (blow fill seal) process. Its luer lock opening allows the direct connection of a syringue.

The bfs ampoules are available in strips of 5 units which can be individually detached from each other easily.

PHARMACODYNAMICS

Sodium Chloride 0,9% : Isotonic solution with an osmolarity of approximately 308 mOsm/l.

Sodium Chloride 10% : Hypertonic solution with an osmolarity of approximately 3420 mOsm/l.

The properties are those of sodium and chloride ions, that maintain hydroelectrolyte balance.
