PRESENTATIONS

THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS

Sodium Chloride 0,9% :

Rebalance of ions with sodium and chloride supplements
Extracellular dehydration
Vehicle for therapeutic supplementation
Hypovolemia
Vehicle or diluent of compatible drugs for parenteral administration.

Sodium Chloride 10% and 20% :

Electrolyte rebalance when small supplemention of water is desired, in slow intravenous infusion
Sodium supplementation with reduced volume in solutions for parenteral nutrition

PHARMACEUTICAL FORM

Sodium chloride is available in glass ampoule with an OPC (one point cut) opening system.

PHARMACODYNAMICS

Sodium Chloride 0,9% : Isotonic solution with an osmolarity of approximately 308 mOsm/l.

Sodium Chloride 10% : Hypertonic solution with an osmolarity of approximately 3420 mOsm/l.

Sodium Chloride 20% : Hypertonic solution with an osmolarity of approximately 6840 mOsm/l.

The properties are those of sodium and chloride ions, that maintain hydroelectrolyte balance.
