PHARMACEUTICAL FORM

The Sodium chloride 0,9 (NaCl 0,9%) solution is packaged in a plastic polypropylene bag. The PP bag, which is in direct contact with the solution, is manufactured from multilayer film based on co-extruded polypropylenes or polyolefin, with a connector of the same material that presents two ports. The first one includes a PP membrane that is used for the connection of the infusion sets, and is protected by a tab that closes this cavity. The second one is sealed by a polypropylene stopper provided with a latex free rubber disc, through which drug additions are performed. The rubber disc is not in contact with the solution because the stopper has inside a polypropylene membrane that closes the connection cavity.

PHARMACODYNAMICS

Sodium Chloride 0,9% : Isotonic solution with an osmolarity of approximately 308 mOsm/l.

The properties are those of sodium and chloride ions, that maintain hydroelectrolyte balance.
